Maile Lei Belongie grew up in Maui, Hawaii. She attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa for her undergraduate degree, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Maile then attended the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law and received her Juris Doctor in 2020.
After graduation from law school, Maile worked as an appellate prosecutor at the Pima County Attorney’s Office, where she conducted legal research and responded to criminal appeals and special actions before several Arizona courts. She has successfully represented the State in over 15 bench trials and evidentiary hearings and has argued in front of the Arizona Court of Appeals. Maile also has experience in pretrial litigation, including negotiations, pretrial motions, and hearings.

Interests:
Maile loves to travel; she has visited fourteen different countries and previously studied abroad in London. When she is not working, she enjoys shooting pool as a member of the American Pool Association, thrift shopping, and spending time with her family and cat.
